Husainy Skill Development Centre

In keeping with the vision of the Founder, Sir S. V. Mir Ahmed Ali Sahib, the Husainabad campus earlier housed the Husainy Industrial Institute, which was affiliated with ITI Limited (a Government of India undertaking).

The Institute provided specialised vocational training in carpentry, electrical and electronics, mechanical trades, and plumbing. These programmes were widely recognised and contributed to the development of many skilled professionals and entrepreneurs, supporting economic self-reliance and dignity of work.

The training activities were discontinued in the 1990s due to changing circumstances at the time.

The Husainy Trust intends to revive and reimagine this legacy through the establishment of the Husainy Skill Development Centre, aligned with present-day industry and employment requirements.

The proposed Centre will focus on vocational, industrial, and employability-oriented skill development through:

Industry-relevant training programmes

Hands-on workshops and guided mentorship

Certification-oriented courses to enhance employability

Collaboration with professionals, experts, and partner organisations

The objective of the Centre is to bridge the skill gap and equip individuals with practical competencies that support sustainable livelihoods and long-term career growth.

The Skill Development Centre is currently under development. Updates regarding programme offerings, timelines, and participation will be shared as this initiative progresses.
